PBA Commissioner’s Cup 2015 Finals

The PBA Commissioner’s Cup 2015 is about to be concluded.  The two top seed teams that will fight to grab the championship title are the TALK and TEXT Tropang Texters vs. the RAIN or SHINE  Elasto Painters.  It is the race to four battle between these two teams.  I am happy because the top two teams are my favorites.  As a fan, it is very difficult for me to choose which of these two teams I am going to cheer because both are my favorites.  This is not new to me actually because the two meets two years ago and the Talk and Text swept the series.  In five series, they won three games straight.  A bit frustrating to the Rain or Shine team since they are on the top seed.  In their second meeting, hopefully the Rain or Shine will take revenge.

Last night was the Game 1 of the Commissioner’s Cup 2015 Final.  And it was the Talk and Text drew the first blood.  The Rain or Shine is doing their best but I guess it is lacking.  They still have the chance though because it is seven series.  Six more games, they have the big chance to tie the series.  By the way, I am rooting for the Rain or Shine team this time.  Go go go team Rain or Shine, bring home the Commissioner’s Cup title.

UAAP Season 77 Finals: NU Bulldogs vs. FEU Tamaraws

I am a fan of UAAP especially basketball and volleyball. I love the thrill of these sports. I have my favorite teams and players too. I really wish to see the games and watch my favorite players for real. As always, I am rooting for FEU teams because I am into underdog’s team. Last UAAP season 76 was an upset because my FEU team beat by the DLSU team. I am happy because they have the twice to beat advantage but the strong team of DLSU beats them twice. They did not make it to the final as well as the team from NU Bulldogs. The bulldogs then had the twice to beat advantage and beat by the Ateneo Blue Eagles twice also.

Anyways, this year is payback time. The teams from Ateneo, FEU, DLSU and NU make it to the final. The teams from Ateneo and FEU has the twice to beat advantage this time. Ateneo will go against NU and FEU will go against DLSU. Many are anticipating that the DLSU team will defend their title and the Ateneo will get back the championship title because DLSU stole it from them last year. However, it didn’t go that way because NU defeated Ateneo and FEU defeated the defending champion DLSU. It is a biggest upset because the famous teams did not make it to the final. I am happy to see new teams for the basketball finals this year. Hopefully, my team will grab the title.

Finished with 1 win and 4 losses

The campaign of the country’s bet in the Fiba World cup of basketball is to win at least one game. They are playing against the world’s best in basketball, much taller, stronger and fastest player in basketball. The country’s best Gilas Pilipinas composed of the best players in the PBA (Philippines Basketball Association). They don’t expect to win and go ahead to the second round; however, they promised to give their best to prove to the world that they can compete. They loss on their first four games but to us Filipinos they’ve won the games because of their performance on the game.

Even though they loss on their first four games, the spirits of the Gilas Pilipinas is strong to go home with one win victory. The country’s last hope is to defeat the team from Senegal. Just like their previous games, the Gilas Pilipinas is playing with their hearts. They did not let the opponent pull away. The Gilas Pilipinas leads in first three-quarters, but on the last quarter the team from Senegal slowly make a run to even tied the score and lead few points. The game is getting intense as it is about to close. With the determination and fight with their hearts the Gilas Pilipinas defeated Senegal. Woohoo! What a game, I must say! The country’s bet Gilas Pilipinas finished with 1 win and 4 losses. To us Filipinos, they’ve have won the championship already. It was a mission accomplished.

All-Filipino Cup Final: Rain or Shine Elasto Painter vs. San Miguel Coffee Mixers

I am a big fan of basketball games.  May it be local or international.   I like the intensity and the enjoyment of the game.  I started to like this sport since I was in elementary.  Influenced by my brothers and father who are a big fan of basketball games as well.  Over the years of watching this sport, I have my favorite team and player.  My favorite player back then is Alvin Patrimonio and my favorite team of course is the Purefoods Hotdog, where my idol played.  After he retired, I changed to another team and I have new favorite player.

The team I like now is the Rain or Shine Elasto Painter, where my favorite Gabe Norwood plays.  I like the great team work of the team, their coach and their young.  The first time the team enters the PBA ( Philippine Basketball Association), I immediately like the players because they are all Rockies.  The players have lots of potential, physics, and talents.  The 2014 All-Filipino cup is about to end and there is only two teams left standing.  The Rain or Shine Elasto Painter vs. the San Miguel Coffee Mixers ( former Purefoods Hotdog).  I both like the team, but I cheer more to my new favorite team.  Go go go Rain or Shine, bring home the bacon.  The seven games series will start this Friday, February 14, 2014.  Mark your calendar, cancel you’re Valentines day date. lol

The tickets were sold out

When I heard that the PBA (Philippine Basketball Association) will have a game here in the city, I am so happy because I really want to see PBA game for real.  I am a big fan of PBA since I was nine until now.  I am even more excited to watch because my team will be the one playing.  Woohoo!  I talked to my friend who is a big fan of PBA as well if he could secure tickets for us.  I am planning to go watch with my older brother and him.  He knows someone who can get tickets for us, so I am counting on him.

Unfortunately, three days before the scheduled game, his contact told him that there is no more tickets.  Tickets were sold out.  I felt like crying because it means I am going to miss the chance to watch the game of my team for real and be able to see my favorite PBA players.  I guess it is not the right time yet.  The money that I have intended for the tickets will go to my savings.  Even though I am sad that I miss the chance to watch the PBA game for real, still I have glad that I am saved the money.  I just hope that PBA will have another game schedule in my city and my team will be playing.  That time, I see to it that I will be able to watch it.
